Message But if the idea really gets you going, then go for it. I'd recommend
getting a summer job that's related and seeing how you like it - I worked
at Sir Speedy, for instance, doing paste up and layout for a summer.
That was enough to let me know I didn't want to spend my life doing
paste up and layout!

So I switched my major from graphic design to fine art. Of course I
graduated from college and went straight into graphic design, because
how much am I going to get paid to do fine art? But no paste up and
layout! Only multimedia - WYSIWYG. And working my way into the world
of 3D, which I find much more interesting.

I highly recommend concentrating on learning the right software, like
Photoshop and Illustrator and the page layout program of your choice,
as well as composition. If you take a GD program, they'll take you down
the right path.

Feel free to email me if you have any questions.
